About Vadavoo

Hi, I’m Darby.

I was born and raised in Western Nebraska and moved to Kansas City with my husband, Nate, in 2006. I’ve always loved the outdoors, traveling to new places, live music, and time spent with family.  I love the the simple moments that make life feel full.

Vadavoo began as a passion project. I was searching for an all-natural laundry product that actually smelled amazing… and when I couldn’t find it, I decided to create it. That’s where it all started.

The name Vadavoo comes from Vedauwoo, Wyoming, a place I explored and rock climbed as a kid. The name means “Earth Born” in Arapaho, and that meaning has always stayed with me.

It’s also the feeling I want every customer to have when they use our products:  grounded, confident, and in harmony with themselves and the world around them.

Today, Vadavoo is a collection of clean, thoughtfully crafted home and body products designed to elevate everyday routines. From fresh linens to soft skin, everything we create is meant to feel as good as it smells.

Creating Vadavoo has allowed me to bring together my love for clean living, beautiful scent, and thoughtful design, building something that brings a little more joy into daily life.
